Anwaar, Congratulations on disseminating this List of Top 25 Censored Stories of 2006. However there are several stories of even greater importance that have not even made it to the List. Thus:
(1) as of September 2006, the post-invasion avoidable mortality (deaths that should not have happened) in the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories totalled 0.3, 0.5 and 2.0 million, respectively - 60% under-5 infant deaths and overwhelmingly due to Occupier violation of the Geneva Conventions that demand that Occupiers keep their Conquered Subjects ALIVE;
(2) 7,000 Western civilians have been killed by Muslim-origin non-state terrorism in the last 40 years (making the increasingly shaky assumption of no US-Israeli state terrorism (USIST) complicity in 9/11) - however the post-9/11 avoidable deaths in the Bush-Blair War on Terror (in reality a War on Muslim Women and Children) now total 3.2 million;
(3) it has been estimated that the annual global avoidable mortality (2003 figures) totals 16 million (44,000 daily) and that global under-5 infant mortality (90% avoidable) totals 10.6 million (29,000 daily) (see: mwcnews.net/content/view/9357/26/ ).
(4) the reader can confirm the above directly for his/herself by simply Google searching for "unicef" and after a few clicks will discover that the "annual under-5 infant deaths" in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan total about 0.5 million annually, 1,300 daily and ONE PER MINUTE. A Google search for "Geneva Conventions" will quickly inform you that not keeping Conquered Subjects alive is prohibited (e.g. Articles 55 and 56, Conventions for Protection of Civilians) and is accordingly a war crime.
"Layperson's Guide to Counting Iraq deaths" (MWC News: mwcnews.net/content/view/5872/26/ ) explains that for Third World countries "avoidable mortality" is about 1.4 times the "under-5 infant mortality".
