How to do it?
Ok this is how you post images.
In order to insert an image within a post. First you must save it to your Hard Drive.
> Right click on image of choice
> Left click on > save as
> clear box and name as you wish.
> click on > save
> It will now be saved on to your Hard Drive
You will now need to Host the image at a Photo Hosting Site.
Pro boards uses and they recommend ImageShack.
It is a great photo hosting site, plus registration is free.
Unless of course, you choose the premium service.
ImageShack
Click on Register in the top right hand corner.
Check your e-mail for your activation link
Click on > Browse
Then click on > Host It
Then click on the link > My Images
You will now see that your image has been uploaded.
> Copy the Thumbnail Code for forums. The thumbnail code will create a clickable thumbnail.
Example: Clickable Thumbnail
To insert the Thumbnail image.
Go to the service window where we all type our posts.
In the bottom row of aids, click on > 4th icon from the left.
That's for image loading. Image tags will appear.
To insert Thumbnail Code > Paste the Thumbnail Code for forums, between the tags.
Type in any message that you have below or above the picture.
Preview, satisfied, Post.
Bingo
Simple as that.
PS : 1. We could open different threads for different topics e.g. natural scenes, disaster pics, war pics or any thing else that comes to mind.
2. Please keep in mind people's sensitivities. Do not post too graphic images
Note: The use of thumbnail images saves on bandwidth and pages load much faster for those on dial up, a common courtesy to our host Pro boards and others.
If you must post a larger image it must be no larger than 350 pixels wide X 350 pixels high or it will be deleted due to band width considerations for those on dial up.
Important no hot linking to pictures, ie: >right clicking url of image and using that url code to post picture. You must host the picture yourself, hot linking is investigated and prosecuted for theft, they have your ip next to the picture as proof of service theft.
The Copy Right Disclaimer will not save you on this issue, Theft of images is just that.
thank you and good day
