1. Lawlessness: Iraqis went on unprecedented loot. US govt. stood by and snoozed. Result: Iraq became modern day Vietnam for Bush Admin.
2. Lawlessness: American GIs in a blatant disregard for laws, treaties and conventions abused Iraqis at Abu Gharib, and other American GIs posed for Pictures while riding an elderly naked Iraqi woman. US govt. stood by and snoozed. Result: Iraqi insurgency got its legs.
3. Lawlessness: New Orleaners went on an unprecedented looting and rape spree. US govt. stood by and snoozed. Result: New Orleans became Bush’s waterloo.
Another Sign Bush is in trouble:
1. Photo-op: In a Topgun like stunt Bush posed on US aircraft carrier, declaring “job well done. Result: 2000 US GIs dead in Iraq and counting.
2. Photo-op: American GIs posed for Pictures while riding an elderly naked Iraqi woman. US govt. stood by and snoozed. Result: Iraqis are still counting unaccounted deaths of their loved ones.
3. Photo-op: Bush posed for photos with blacks and firefighters in New Orleans. Result: Hundreds of unaccounted dead bodies are still floating in polluted flood waters and others rot on roadsides.
Another Sign Bush is nepotistic:
1. Nepotism: D. Cheney (ex-boss of Halliburton) becomes the US vice president. Result: Halliburton gets the majority of no-bids contracts in Iraq.
2. Nepotism: US starts a war in Iraq to stabilize Middle East. Result: American tax-payers have burned over $160 bill in Iraq and Afghanistan and there is still no end in sight. Halliburton with huge profits is the only winner coming out of Iraq.
3. Nepotism: Clueless M. Browne (a Republican campaign worker) becomes the FEMA director. Result: Out of $62 bil Katrina rebuilding fund a major Republican donor, the Fluor Corporation, and a client of the consultant Joe Allbaugh (the Bush 2000 campaign manager who ran FEMA for the White House until Browne, Mr. Allbaugh's college roommate, was installed in his place) already have received no-bid contracts.
Thanks Bush for the “Compassionate” and “Accountable” leadership.

???Bush is now trying to give his cronies the no-bid contracts for the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast. Again the poor will be disenfranchised while he lines the pockets of his neo-con criminal friends. When will it end?

There is this book by a Mr. Coombes. He describes our beautiful America, U.S.A. as Mystery Babylon of the chapter 17 and 18 off the book of apocalypse in the new Torah. He goes on to say that our founding leaders were from the illuminati cult.Hog wash! America has always been as pure as the rivers and purple mountains and green lush valleys where the buffalo roamed. It was those demonic godless globalist that infiltrated and stole our federal reserves to create a world monatary system 666. They have fooled the whole world with there wicked inventions and philosophys of false democracys and rulerships. We must return back to the true Isalmic,Israeli and American values or the globalist will enslave our souls and spirits to heavens nod.

America has always been as pure as the rivers and purple mountains and green lush valleys where the buffalo roamed. One should know a little history before making such a statement. Start with the genocide of Native Americans they welcomed the Pilgrims with open arms kept them alive thru the winter taught them how to reap the bounty of this new fronter so that the Pilgrims might become self sufficient and prosper. And how did we repay them for their kindness with small pox infected blankets of course and the wholesale slaughter of their entire culture which continues to this day. There were no globalists on the mayflower just people looking for a better life well they found it, stole it and turned it into the bloodiest empire that has ever threatened humanity. History is ripe with these facts and denial of them is the path of assured destruction. edit by request.

Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged
WASHINGTON - It was billed as a conversation with U.S. troops, but the questions President Bush asked on a teleconference call Thursday were choreographed to match his goals for the war in Iraq and Saturday's vote on a new Iraqi constitution.
"This is an important time," Allison Barber, deputy assistant defense secretary, said, coaching the soldiers before Bush arrived. "The president is looking forward to having just a conversation with you."
Barber said the president was interested in three topics: the overall security situation in Iraq, security preparations for the weekend vote and efforts to train Iraqi troops.
As she spoke in Washington, a live shot of 10 soldiers from the Army's 42nd Infantry Division and one Iraqi soldier was beamed into the Eisenhower Executive Office Building from Tikrit — the birthplace of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
"I'm going to ask somebody to grab those two water bottles against the wall and move them out of the camera shot for me," Barber said.
A brief rehearsal ensued.
"OK, so let's just walk through this," Barber said. "Captain Kennedy, you answer the first question and you hand the mike to whom?"
"Captain Smith," Kennedy said.
"Captain. Smith? You take the mike and you hand it to whom?" she asked.
"Captain Kennedy," the soldier replied.
And so it went.
"If the question comes up about partnering — how often do we train with the Iraqi military — who does he go to?" Barber asked.
"That's going to go to Captain Pratt," one of the soldiers said.
"And then if we're going to talk a little bit about the folks in Tikrit — the hometown — and how they're handling the political process, who are we going to give that to?" she asked.
Before he took questions, Bush thanked the soldiers for serving and reassured them that the U.S. would not pull out of Iraq until the mission was complete.
"So long as I'm the president, we're never going to back down, we're never going to give in, we'll never accept anything less than total victory," Bush said.
The president told them twice that the American people were behind them.
"You've got tremendous support here at home," Bush said.
Less than 40 percent in an AP-Ipsos poll taken in October said they approved of the way Bush was handling Iraq. Just over half of the public now say the Iraq war was a mistake.
White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Thursday's event was coordinated with the Defense Department but that the troops were expressing their own thoughts. With satellite feeds, coordination often is needed to overcome technological challenges, such as delays, he said.
"I think all they were doing was talking to the troops and letting them know what to expect," he said, adding that the president wanted to talk with troops on the ground who have firsthand knowledge about the situation.
The soldiers all gave Bush an upbeat view of the situation.
The president also got praise from the Iraqi soldier who was part of the chat.
"Thank you very much for everything," he gushed. "I like you."
On preparations for the vote, 1st Lt. Gregg Murphy of Tennessee said: "Sir, we are prepared to do whatever it takes to make this thing a success. ... Back in January, when we were preparing for that election, we had to lead the way. We set up the coordination, we made the plan. We're really happy to see, during the preparation for this one, sir, they're doing everything."
On the training of Iraqi security forces, Master Sgt. Corine Lombardo from Scotia, N.Y., said to Bush: "I can tell you over the past 10 months, we've seen a tremendous increase in the capabilities and the confidences of our Iraqi security force partners. ... Over the next month, we anticipate seeing at least one-third of those Iraqi forces conducting independent operations."
Lombardo told the president that she was in New York City on Nov. 11, 2001, when Bush attended an event recognizing soldiers for their recovery and rescue efforts at Ground Zero. She said the troops began the fight against terrorism in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and were proud to continue it in Iraq.
"I thought you looked familiar," Bush said, and then joked: "I probably look familiar to you, too."
Paul Rieckhoff, director of the New York-based Operation Truth, an advocacy group for U.S. veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, denounced the event as a "carefully scripted publicity stunt." Five of the 10 U.S. troops involved were officers, he said.
"If he wants the real opinions of the troops, he can't do it in a nationally televised teleconference," Rieckhoff said. "He needs to be talking to the boots on the ground and that's not a bunch of captains."

It's been a slow, oh so very slow but steady coup d'état that began with the gutting of anti-trust law during the Reagan admin., followed by successive, related cave-ins on media ownership by the FCC, under the likes of Michael K. Powell.
The process has been gradual and sly. The work force and the media have been placed under a sinister thumb. From there it's been a cinch to keep the populace from drawing conclusions. No one has been alert enough to add up the bill and recognize what ulitmately was in store.
There's no denying that the American population has been asleep at the wheel. Yet how might the rest of the world work together to support the Americans in their sudden realisation that we've got a major crisis on our hands? The survival not only of abused American citizens but of those of us who live beyond US borders depends on that overdue awakening!
We need to find a way to work together, without further delay.

P.S. to my previous post:
Not only are there 600 000 000 000 other people besides the 300 000 000 Americans in the world, but
“US fumes over cultural snub”
“The vast majority of UNESCO's 191 member nations, urged on by France and Canada, voted in Paris early yesterday to approve the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.”
“Israel was the only country to join the US in opposing the treaty”
“The Americans are furious at being snubbed by almost the entire UNESCO assembly and now it is payback time. The US has stopped short of threatening full-scale withdrawal from UNESCO”
are some quotes from newspapers around the world the past day or so. (found on Google search)
It appears that quite a number of nations aren’t particulaly enamoured of the U.S. culture....

While I do think that Bush has dug his own grave and is responsible for his downfall and slump in polls, I am afraid of how this is affecting the international negotiation power of the U.S. Bush was kicked like a dog by the south american leaders in Argentina on his "free trade" initiative. On the eve of his Asia trip, China came up with this shocking statement that if U.S. wants to improve trade deficits, then they should trade nuclear technologies with China!! Bush is making a complete fool of himself on his "evade the reality at home" tour to Asia. I just feel bad that the horrible treatment that he is getting around the world is not just a reflection on him but also on the U.S. as a country. These international failures are also likely to have devastating effect on the U.S. economy. A major reason for these failures is his bad standing among the American people and shaky situation at home. How can he ever stand up to the chinese leader who at least to a certain degree controls the fate of U.S. debt situation!! The above was posted by sn on the blog at huffingtonpost.com and should be considered very carefully. Six months ago,a total meltdown of the Presidency could scarcely be imagined by most Americans. Now that it has come about, what is to be done? Moronic slipups like calling Taiwan a democratic Chinese society will not be shrugged off by Beijiing, and could well result in catastrophic economic reprecussions. They could eviscerate the U.S Dollar with the click of a mouse. Heaven forbid that the Chinese government should take his freedom gibberish as a threat... Can no one kick him in the shin and tell him to shut up,before he sends our fragile financial system crashing down? No wonder he doesn't get out much...

I am presently watching our pet president drone on about the war. This man is completely divorced from reality. Why does he choose to speak at the Annapolis Naval Academy? Why always speak to the(carefully screened)choir?Clinton would speak at town hall meetings, for hours at a time, without a single note.Of course,Bush's handlers would never allow that... How did I just know he would play the 911 card yet again?Complete victory?I shudder to think what that might be. They make a desert, and call it peace. Now he has blurted out something about Iraqi reconstruction. They have lost BILLIONS of dollars since his adventure began, more than they could ever need to rebuild what we destroyed.Where did all that money go? Now he doesen't even look up from the teleprompter.Big words,I guess.Hard, hard work. He sounds like he actually believes the lies he is spewing. When he completes a difficult sentence,he beams like he just won a spelling bee. Stay the course,blah,blah,blah... As theystand up,we will stand down,,blah,blah,blah... Complete the mission,blah,blah,blah...
I was told he was going to present A PLAN with this speech... I should have known better. I vote NO CONFIDENCE,none at all. I am bone-weary of this man representing us so poorly. It would be a joke if our finest sons and daughters were not dying every day. This forty-five minute ball of fluff will not resonate with Americans.I predict his free-fall will continue. At least his jaw isn't twitching-too early in the day,I suppose.

I just found this in the mailbag at the mighty buzzflash.com.Couldn't have said it better myself... Subject: George's Broadway Debut Hi BuzzFlash: I watched George’s speech today and frankly it made me SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s not bad enough that George W. Bush has another recycled message called “Plan for Victory” where he rolls out a retread of the same tired old arguments and excuses over his abysmal failures in Iraq….but this time Bush is using an elaborate theatrical backdrop to push his garbage. Why don’t the members of the press find the courage to ask Bush why he needs an extravagant Broadway set to speak to the American people about a failed war? Wasn’t asking the American people to watch Top Gun Bush strut across a flight deck wearing a suit designed to make a stud out of a gelding punishment enough? Haven’t we been subjected to enough of the George W. Bush, Buzz LightYear moments to last an entire lifetime? Will he literally have to say “to infinity and beyond” before our legislators decide to impeach this incompetent nincompoop? Why can’t this guy just walk up to a plain, unadorned podium and talk to the citizens of this country face to face, without props, sets, fake turkeys, fake fruits and vegetables, or “Mission Accomplished” banners behind him, in front of him or beside him? And just how much of our hard earned money is he using to pay for his ridiculous event sets? I want to know because we’re in bad shape here in the USA and we need all of our money to pay for the things he takes for granted. You know what I’m talking about, things like food, water, fuel, clothing and education. Excuse me but I can no longer stomach George W. Bush’s excesses, his failures, his foibles, his lies, his deceptions and his phony religiosity. The truth is that he’s a spoiled out of control silver spooner who’s never done a real days work in his life, never lived in a real neighborhood or paid a debt or cooked a meal or washed a dish or made a bed, NOTHING!!!! For all of his folksy, down home swagger this man is just another gawdy old rich man who’s spent a hell of a lot more of his life on the shore at Kennebunkport than on the Texas prairie. George W. Bush has taken more fishing trips on a yacht than in an aluminum bass boat, more road trips in a Mercedes, than in a Chevy, more weekends on the compound playing tennis than in the yard raking leaves. He has no compunction against utilizing lies to send our children to die in his war because he knows damned good and well that his children will never go, just as HE NEVER WENT. To him we are war fodder, tools in one of the many elaborate schemes to make him and his rich friends, richer. So please, George W. Bush, spare us the Broadway backdrop, our BS meter is on “Full”. No amount of pomp and circumstance, no amount of grandeur and glitter, no stretch of hyperbole and drama is going to change our mind. We have your number and it is ZERO! WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU GEORGE. YOU LIED AND OUR CHILDREN DIED. BRING OUR CHILDREN HOME NOW. Carolyn in Tennessee
